Chrome Player - 16:9 / Playback Issues
When configuring a 4:3 resolution (eg: 768x576) with the Aspect Ratio switch of 16:9, the Chrome HTML5 Player on some systems, will ignore the switch and continue to play as 4:3 aspect.
To fix this, you must disable the Hardware Acceleration of the Chrome Player, in order to do that, follow the next steps:
1) Click on Chrome menu and select: Settings
2) Now click on
Settings (Top-Left Corner) and then click on
Advanced and select:
SystemChrome - Advanced Settings 3) In
System, disable the
Hardware Acceleration option and re-launch the browser, this will have the player open with the correct aspect ratio
Chrome - System Note: If you encounter buffering or playback issues (long loading times or start time not close to live) then this can also be resolved in most cased by disabling the Hardware Acceleration.
