GraphStudioNext

Follow steps #1 to #7 to configure BlackMagic Decklink Video ports, you may need to repeat steps #4 to #6 in order to find the correct settings of the input.

The card input configuration MUST match the actual feed.
Note: Make sure the ActControl service is stopped and no other application is using the Blackmagic card during configuration!

1) open Windows Explorer and go to c:\Actus\Bin\Tools, find graphstudionext.exe, Right-Click on it and select “Run as administrator” to open the application.

2) Once GraphStudioNext is open, click on the “Graph” menu and select “Insert Filter

3) On the popup menu, click the pulldown menu of “(ALL) DirectShow Filters” and select "Video Capture Sources" and then you will be shown only the relevant filters for configuration. Select the port required for configuration (eg: Decklink Video Capture) and click on the "Insert" button

4) After the Filter is inserted, Right-Click on it and select “Properties...

5) Under the “Video Format” click on the pulldown options and select the correct configuration that matches the input, then click “Apply” to confirm and “OK” when done.

NOTE: Each Capture Device will have a different look, but the selection will be similar

6) Back at the main Filter, Right-Click the “Capture” pin, and from the menu select “Render Pin”, now just press the green “Play” button to open the Playback video

7) After click the Play, the “ActiveMovie Window” will open, if you are seeing a Black Screen, then the configuration does not match the input. You would need to delete everything that was added after the Capture Pin, and repeat Steps 4 to 6 and change “Video Format” input and try again until you see a video playing.

8) In some cases the Blackmagic SDI has multiple Audio Tracks, in order for the recording to work correctly, you must configure the Audio to utilize all the tracks.

Click on the Graph, then Insert Filter

9) Now select from the Pulldown Menu the "Audio Capture Sources"

10) Select the "Decklink Audio Capture" port that you need to configure and click Insert

11) Now Right-Click the "Decklink Audio Capture" inside the Graph and select Properties

12) In the "Audio Format" tab, click on the Pulldown menu and set to the maximum amount of channels (eg: 16 channels, 48KHz, 16-bit) and this will ensure all audio tracks will be available for configuration
